The HEAL Project has an amazing paid internship opportunity for high school students!
We are looking for ten students aged 15-17 to participate in a fantastic new program on our San Mateo County School farm that will connect personal health, nutrition, and sustainable food systems to their everyday lives.
In the 10-week program, our TEEN (Teach Environmental Education Now) Leaders will:
- Plant, harvest, and cook seasonal farm fresh fruits and vegetables
- Develop their leadership skills by preparing and leading nutrition-based lessons for elementary aged students
- Become ambassadors for healthy living and home and in their communities
- Receive a weekly box of fresh fruits and vegetables and a $500 stipend upon completion

The hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2-5pm, and students must provide their own transportation to and from the Farm and CCP sites. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. TEEN Leaders will need to provide their own transportation to and from the farm.
